AKOYA is equipped with "Multi-Access" technology that allows you to land with the same agility on water, land, or snow without any prior adjustments to the aircraft.
AKOYA is also the first aircraft with aerodynamics that give it significant performance while reducing fuel consumption.
AKOYA is permanently equipped with retractable landing gear designed to allow the fuselage to land on water thanks to the hydrofoils system. In "snow" configuration, the retractable skis are fixed to the same retractable landing gear.
Retractable landing gear
Takeoffs and landings can be executed on private land of 200 meters, such as airfields.
Hydrofoils
The combination of 2 inverted V hydrofoils with retractable landing gear allows you to obtain performance far superior to conventional water landing aircrafts. The hydrofoils position the aircraft above the waves (coupled with the strong Ri&Flex Wing bearing) and move the fuselage from the water at very low speeds (although it is not equipped with redan and hull). The aircraft can then accelerate and take off over a short distance.
This hydrofoils system allows the fuselage to be very aerodynamic making the AKOYA the first aircraft that is agile in water and quick in the air.
Retractable skis
The AKOYA is equipped with retractable skis operated in flight from your cockpit, so that you can decide at any time to land on a snow-covered surface. The skis are permanently inside the fuselage. In flight, the pilot can select the skis that will be fixed to the landing gear on their exit.
You can safely land on snow-covered surfaces. Therefore, using the skis does not require any extra handling and maintains all AKOYA performance in flight.
