Following its first aircraft, AKOYA, LISA Airplanes decided to launch a new project called Hy-Bird. Its aim is to fly around the world with a 100% clean electric airplane. The aircraft is designed by LISA Airplanes team and uses AKOYA airframe, which has already shown its many advantages.

Hy-Bird is powered only by renewable energies: solar energy stocked in batteries and hydrogen turned into electricity by a fuel cell.

The hydrogen used is generated from a renewable energy source. Therefore, Hy-Bird does not engender any greenhouse gas emission. Besides, the electric motor propelling Hy-Bird is more efficient in altitude but also more silent than gas engines. More technical info
