Hy-Bird, a project with multiple facets. Its goals are :

To design an airplane, which will use only renewable energies with no greenhouse gas emission, and, to decrease dramatically noise pollution, which airplanes do normally engender.
To join forces of various manufacturers, laboratories, universities, and individuals interested in Hy-Bird :

• To carry out an ambitious project that will span the globe and, that will have multiple impacts (scientific, ecological, media, human…).
• To demonstrate that transportation can be clean and quiet.
• To spread the idea of sustainable development throughout the world.
• To make the public more aware of the use and benefits for the environment of clean transportation. And by this sensitisation, we hope the transport industry, and particularly the aviation industry, will evolve towards the use of renewable energies.
• To promote the skills of each partner nation-wide and worldwide.

Eventually, to develop and market Hy-Bird, making environmentally-friendly flights accessible to all.
