Hy-Bird-E is the first development stage of the Hy-Bird project.

This plane, like Hy-Bird, will use the airframe of AKOYA, the first plane developed by Lisa Airplanes. It will make its first electric flight in 2010, equipped only with batteries recharged thank to solar cells.  The goal of this first short flight is to prove the first technical phase and integration of these new electrical components.  Moreover it will be the first two-seater leisure aircraft to fly solely by means of solar energy.
