The Ri&Flex Wing, deployed, allows for short takeoffs and landings. It can execute steep slopes during approach and avoid obstacles when entering the runway. In the event  of a stalling at low speeds, the wing’s features give the plane “natural” behavior without any jolting.

When retracted, the Ri&Flex Wing works in conjunction with the aerodynamic fuselage to make the AKOYA unaffected by gusting winds and give it great finesse. These are essential qualities in in the event of motor breakdown.
